About
RWBY Saturdays is a project that seeks to recreate the feeling of community RWBY Twitter gets every weekend of new episodes by organizing artists to drop new RWBY fan content every Saturday at the time new episodes usually come out! Additionally, there will be a prompt attached to each week so anybody can participate as well using the hashtag #rwbysaturdays!
This project is moderated by @oikanoo and @Riggy_Minus.
HOW IT WORKS
Every Saturday at 11am EST (whenever episodes usually drop), the official Twitter account for this project (@rwbysaturdays) will release 1-2 pieces of RWBY fanart and/or fanfiction created just for that week by rwbytwt artists! In the week prior, the Twitter account will also release a prompt that the pieces of the week will follow, and anyone is encouraged to participate (whether along the prompt or not)!
Applications will open on March 11th, 2022, and will close two weeks later on March 25th. We will be sending out acceptances on a rolling basis beginning March 26th! There will be a spreadsheet for contributors to mark off weeks they're available to create work, with a max of 2 weeks per contributor.
GUIDELINES/Q&A
All official contributor works (i.e. those posted through the official account) will be required to be 100% SFW and minors are welcome to apply and participate!
We don't tolerate pedophilic content or 'proshipping' here due to the harm it poses to the largely underage fanbase and contributor base. If you don't like that, don't look at this project!
All contributors will retain all rights to their work, but we ask that contributors refrain from sharing/selling in any social media platforms until after it has been posted to the Twitter account!
Q. Do we have to participate every Saturday?
A. No, each artist/writer who signs up will be assigned one Saturday overall (assuming we get enough people). You're welcome to post work on your own every week, but that will be unaffiliated with the project!
Q. Can everyone participate? Are there prompts for each week?
A. Each week, the featured creator will come up with a prompt of their own choosing (non-ship specific) and their work will be posted on this account. Everyone is welcome to make their own inspired works!
Q. Will multiple works be posted every week?
A. As of right now, we're looking to assign just 1-2 creators to each week (so 1-2 'official' affiliated works.) However, we'll come up with a tag and you can also post your own works for that week as well!
Q. If I don't happen to be available on a certain day will I still be able to participate?
A. There will be a spreadsheet where contributors will mark the weeks they're available to post work, and 1-2 creators will be assigned to each week based on those results.
Q. I'm not available at RWBY episode release times (Sat 11am for EST), can I still participate as a creator?
A. Absolutely! I will be scheduling all works to post through this account, so as long as you get it to me before that time I can post it for you on your assigned week!

We will ask for 1-2 samples that you think best showcase your current artstyle or writing style. Please submit using links.

We will also ask for a portfolio of at least 5 art pieces and/or 3 writing pieces. Google Drive folders, art archives accounts, and website links are preferred. Do not submit NSFW pieces or WIPs, even in your portfolio.

You can apply for both art and writing! Depending on the amount of contributors, we may accept you for both writing and art.

We will be sending out results on a rolling basis, beginning on October 15th, a week after applications close. There will be a spreadsheet shared with all accepted contributors where you can sign up for a week slot when you're free, with a max of two slots per creator.
